KNG Securities, the fixed income investment bank, has appointed Perikli Thanasi as its Head of Special Situations as it continues to expand to become the leading specialist in trading illiquid and distressed fixed income securities.

At KNG Securities, Perikli will leverage his expertise to assist investors in pricing and finding liquidity for highly complex, distressed, and event-driven fixed-income assets, particularly those impacted by capital restructuring, insolvency, or litigation.

Perikli brings a wealth of experience from his previous tenure at KNG Securities, where he served for nearly a decade (2012 to 2021) specializing in Special Situations and Fixed Income sales. During this period, he dealt with a diverse variety of distressed, illiquid, and esoteric assets, including legacy transactions from Greek and Cypriot banks.

Perikli’s expertise covers specialty lending portfolios, legal and bankruptcy claims, and liquidity solutions for law firms.

The appointment of Perikli Thanasi is the eleventh major hire KNG has made in the last 18 months as it moves to quickly expand its capacity and expertise. The firm previously appointed Credit Suisse veteran Omar Ghalloudi as its Head of Emerging Market Trading and VTB Capital and Morgan Stanley EM expert Fernando Ortega as Head of Emerging Market Sales.
